Following Osaka University's motto of "Live Locally, Grow Globally," the Graduate School of Medicine has committed itself to remaining an internationally recognized school through international exchange and joint research among researchers.
We promote a variety of international exchanges such as inviting scholars and researchers, sending our academic staff abroad, accepting international students, and sending our students abroad. As such, this exchange has expanded annually. In addition, the international exchange fund was established as part of our international exchange program. Annually, it provides financial support to visiting scholars and international graduate students. |
 |
 |
 |
| The Graduate School of Medicine has concluded inter-faculty agreements for academic exchange with foreign schools between their respective divisions. Among participating schools, we are involved in joint research and reciprocal exchange of researchers and students. At some of the schools with which Osaka University has an academic exchange agreement, our graduate and undergraduate students can study, take classes, and/or receive research guidance with tuition waived up to one year while they continue their enrollment at Osaka University. |

The Graduate School of Medicine claims that Japan needs to develop human resources that the international society wants to fulfill its role and serve as a part of international society. For this purpose, we established international exchange subsidies for young researchers such as graduate students who plan to do research in laboratories, institutes and universities abroad.
In our effort to promote international exchange and to contribute to the development of globally-minded physicians, we offer our students support to participate in training at medical institutions abroad. |

Center for International Relations |
| |
This Center was established in April 2007 with the goal of promoting international relations for the Graduate School of Medicine and the Faculty of Medicine. It forms strategies for international relations and sets up concluding inter-faculty agreements. For our students, it has been conducting Medical English classes since October 2008 and has prepared them to join short-term student exchange programs and training programs at partner institutions abroad. The Medical Frontier program, the official short-term clinical and/or research program, has been available to international students since 2009. This center has also arranged visits from medical students and staff overseas. |
