薬剤性過敏症症候群（Drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome; DIHS）は薬剤のみが原因で生じる薬疹ではなく、ウィルスの再活性化などの要因が関与すると考えられている重症薬疹である。皮膚のみではなく、肝臓などの他臓器障害を伴い、重症化する。薬剤の中止のみでは軽快せず、増悪することがあるため、薬剤投与前にDIHSのハイリスク群を同定し、該当する薬剤を投与しないようにする必要がある。本疾患は、誘発する薬剤が人種により異なるという知見もあり、発症に遺伝的背景が関与していることが示唆される。本研究では、DIHSに関与する遺伝的背景を解明するため、一塩基多型（SNPs）を用いた全ゲノム領域の多型解析を行う。本研究により、DIHSの遺伝的背景を解明できれば、DIHSのハイリスク群同定による適正な薬剤の選択ができ、また新たな治療法の開発にもつながると考えられる。
