Dermatological diseases range from the common and easy to treat to those that have severe impact on life expetancy and quality. Our focus is diseases for which there exist poor or no treatments. We are especailly interested in the homeostatic maintenance and metabolism of the skin, with the ultimate aim of clinical application.

2.Research on skin allergies and autoimmune diseases

Many skin diseases, such as atopic dermatitis, drug allergies, and occupational skin diseases, are widespread in societies. Solving the pathology of these autoimmune diseases is key for new treatments.
