プロフィール

1986年、大阪大学医学部卒業、大阪大学医学部附属病院、国立大阪病院で4年間の消化器内科を中心とした臨床研修後、1990年に大阪大学大学院医学研究科(内科学専攻)に入学、がんの生化学を中心に研究を始め、1994年に同修了。大阪大学医学部附属病院臨床検査部医員、長寿科学リサーチレジデント研究員を経て、2000年、大阪大学大学院医学研究科生化学助手。2002年、大阪大学医学部保健学科(臨床検査学)の助教授として独立したラボをもつ。2003年10月から大阪大学大学院医学研究科生化学助教授(2004年3月までは保健学科助教授を兼任)。糖鎖を中心とした病態生化学、消化器病学(主に肝臓病学)が専門。様々な病態における糖鎖の機能を明らかにし、現在難治性とされる疾患を治療するのが大きな夢である。
