An Integrated Understanding of Coordination, Efficiency,
and Risk Control in Multi-Joint Movements

Motor control of human body

Motor equivalence, which achieves analogous spatial accomplishments yet different movements, is accomplished through multi-joint movements. The various movement patterns create differences in the skillfulness of the movements, affecting movement efficiency and leading to differences in the injury risk. We aim to understand the skillfulness and coordination of human body movement that is unique to multi-joint movements.

Motor control & biomechanics

We will use a motion capture system to measure human movements and elucidate the mechanisms that produce skillful movements and the mechanisms that cause disorders.
