My research focuses on “sensory information processing,” “visual perception,” and “neuroaesthetics,” utilizing deep learning (DCNN), generative adversarial networks (GAN), inverse correlation, psychophysical experiments, and neurophysiological experiments.
In particular, I am elucidating the psychological mechanisms by which humans perceive “beauty,” conducting quantitative analysis of the information processing processes within deep neural networks, and attempting to visualize the emotional images that people have using GANs.
Furthermore, by integrating psychological experiments and AI technology, I aim to endow artificial intelligence with “artistic sensibility,” adopting an interdisciplinary approach that combines perceptual science, neuroscience, and cognitive neuroscience.
