On September 12, the first paper on intravascular EEG developed under the Moonshot project was published.

In this study, we demonstrated that intravascular EEG measured from cortical veins can provide higher-resolution intracranial EEG data than conventional methods.

This research is the result of an international collaboration between our group and Professor Tsuyoshi Sekitani and Associate Professor Takafumi Uemura of SANKEN at the University of Osaka; Associate Professor Hajime Nakamura, Dr. Takamitsu Iwata, and Professor Haruhiko Kishima of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Osaka; and Professor David Grayden of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne.

The paper is titled: “Microendovascular Neural Recording from Cortical and Deep Vessels with High Precision and Minimal Invasiveness”.
