To contribute to solving medical problems accompanying the rapid aging of society and to forcefully promote the development of medical science and treatment both domestically and overseas, this project supports university programs that: 1) train personnel who will create the opportunities for a medical paradigm shift, and 2) dare to take a new and highly original approach.

Theme A: Training people to promote medical innovation

This theme's purpose is to contribute greatly to improving the world's standard of medical treatment and to activating Japan's medical industry. In the future, it aims to train people (leading innovators) with the ability to lead the most advanced medical R&D worldwide and to spread the results of that R&D domestically and overseas.
