Overview

In vitro gametogenesis (IVG), recreating of germ cell development in vitro, is a new stem cell-based technology with significant potential for promoting reproductive science. Although researchers are aiming for clinical application in the future, there is limited understanding of stakeholders’ perspectives that might be affected by implementation of IVG. In this webinar, we will introduce two projects addressing ELSI issues of IVG in the UK and Japan.

概要

生殖細胞の発生を試験管内で再現する体外配偶子形成（IVG）は、幹細胞を用いた新しい技術であり、
生殖医療の推進に大きな可能性を秘めている。研究者は将来の臨床応用を目指しているが、
IVGの実施によって影響を受ける可能性のあるステークホルダーの視点についての理解は限られている。

本ウェビナーでは、英国と日本におけるIVGのELSI (Ethical, Legal, Social Implication) 問題に取り組む
2つのプロジェクトを紹介する。
