On Friday, October 2, 2026, we held the “36th Osaka Gut Forum (OGF)” at the Hotel Hankyu International. Many experts attended the event, and the venue was filled with lively discussions and exchanges of ideas, making it a great success.
This program features presentations on the utility of serum LRG in ulcerative colitis, evaluation of the esophageal mucosa using oxygen saturation imaging endoscopy, and the diagnosis of early-stage colorectal cancer using acetic acid-enhanced endoscopy. Additionally, as a special lecture, Professor Hideki Ohara from the Department of Gastroenterology and Neurology at Kagawa University School of Medicine delivered a presentation titled “Seeking New Developments in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy: Therapeutic Techniques, Device Development, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration.” The presentation was highly insightful, covering advances in endoscopic therapy, the development of new equipment, and collaboration with other disciplines—all of which will contribute to the future development of gastrointestinal endoscopic clinical practice and research.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the speakers and participants, as well as to all those who worked so hard to make this event possible.
The Osaka Gut Forum will continue to provide a forum for academic exchange that contributes to the development of gastroenterological practice and research.
