Independent clinical research being conducted in our department

The Department conducts independent clinical research to elucidate the causes of diseases and to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic methods by utilizing specimens and medical information provided by patients. These studies are conducted only after strict review of the scientific validity and ethics of the research plan by the Osaka University Hospital Clinical Research Ethics Review Committee, and only after formal approval.
Since this study will use information obtained in the normal course of medical treatment, there will be no additional burden on the patient. In addition, personal information will be managed appropriately and specific individuals will not be identified.
