I am engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, primarily through endoscopic therapy, with a particular focus on endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). My research centers on artificial intelligence, aiming to develop systems that enable even non-experts to make accurate diagnoses with ease.
While it is important to be fully committed to clinical practice, an academic perspective is essential for broadening one’s horizons as a physician. Returning to the university may at first seem like a detour for a clinician; however, I am confident that it will ultimately lead to meaningful professional growth.
