Sleeping Beauty Mutant Mouse Lines

Using the SB transposon system, we have generated a large repertoire of Gfp+ mutant mice [Keng et al. Nature Methods (2005) In press].

This database consists of currently available sperm stock of Gfp+ mutant mice for intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Please contact us if interested or for further enquiries.

Listed transposon insertion sites were determined by linker ligation-mediated PCR (LM-PCR) from Gfp+ progeny of two donor mice (IF2 and IR3), with original donor sites located on chromosomes 7 and 12, respectively.

Disclaimer:
Researchers who wish to use our mutant mice for further research may do so at their own risk and expense. There is a possibility of transposon insertion into other genes not detected by our LM-PCR. Complete gene disruption cannot be guaranteed as transposon insertions can occur anywhere within a gene; unpredictable splicing machinery between transposon vector and gene of interest; and finally, transposon insertions can occur in a either forward or reverse orientation, relative to the gene of interest.
