Professor Takashi Nagasawa wins the Japan Academy Prize

The Japan Academy recognizes scientists for exceptional scientific accomplishments. On March 12, it announced that Osaka University Takashi Nagasawa (Professor, Stem Cell Biology) has won the Japan Academy Prize for his work on how the bone marrow niche regulates hematopoietic stem cells and hematopoiesis and also bone. The ceremony will be held in Tokyo in June.

“I am very honoured to receive this award and have many people to thank. The teachers who trained me, the researchers who collaborated with me, and the people working hard in my lab. Thank you very much,” said Nagasawa in response to the announcement.
