Hearing and Brain

Recently a considerable number of studies have revealed that, in humans, hearing loss in middle age is a strong risk factor for ‘dementia’. In addition, hearing disorder is likely to accelerate social isolation and associate with depression. On the basis of these backgrounds, we start to conduct a project that studies the relationship between deafness and neurological diseases. We will update this page with research achievements.
