This research grant aims to develop Next-Generation Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) by advancing techniques for the creation, functional enhancement, and preservation of gametes and their precursors, based on an understanding of the mechanisms underlying gametogenesis. To achieve this, Japanese researchers with unique cutting-edge technologies will collaborate with overseas researchers who possess diverse mammalian resources. Furthermore, through these research activities, we aim to cultivate young researchers and establish a foundation that will enable Japan to play a leading international role in this field over the long term.
