Prof. Ko Hosokawa of the Laboratory of Plastic Surgery was made honorary member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The announcement was made by the president of the society, Dr. Debra J. Johnson, on April 11. Prof. Hosokawa was awarded the membership based on his academic work and his promotion of Japan-American relations in the field. He is the first Japanese to be made honorary member of the society and only seventh in the world.
