Prof. Shimazu wins accolades from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications for his work in Emergency Care
September 9, 2018, was the beginning of Emergency Care Week, in which the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced a number of awards for people in emergency services. At an award ceremony in Tokyo on September 10, 2018, Osaka University Professor Takeshi Shimazu, Director of the Osaka University Hospital Trauma and Acute Critical Care Center, was recognized for his work in Emergency Care from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
Besides his work at Osaka University, Prof. Shimazu is a committee member for emergency medicine at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and at the Osaka Prefecture, and chairperson of the Toyono Medical Control Committee and the Osaka Prefectural Helicopter Emergency Care Committee.
