1.Summary

Kobe City Medical Center General Hospital (KCGH), the Riken Center for Developmental Biology (CDB), Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University, and Osaka University announced the transplantation of retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cell sheets derived from allogeneic iPS cells into a patient with wet age-related macular degeneration. The surgery was performed on March 28.
